My wife is getting moved to a long-term care facility so she can better heal and recover from the skin infection on her leg. I needed time to spend with her, so no lesson.
Sorry for not having posted during the last several weeks. I've been on medical leave from work while I care for my wife. Unfortunately, I was too mentally drained from helping her to be able to focus on my guitar, so I didn't touch it for quite some time. My wife has since been checked into the hospital while she recovers from some bed sores and a skin infection, and I've returned to my studies.
My studies are continuing now that I've resumed lessons as of last week. I've made some progress with Romanza, especially now that I know I don't have to keep my ring and middle fingers anchored to two of the treble strings while plucking the first and 6th strings. Not much else to report, really.
Some of my aunts and uncles drove down from Colorado last weekened. I got to play for them. I stumbled quite a bit on a piece I haven't played in months, but did well enough to impress them. At least they got to hear me play.
I'm returning to work today.
