A few weeks ago, we decided to take a break from Spanish arpeggio studies so I could continue refining Romance, and we've returned to Christopher Parkening's Guitar Method so I could focus more on learning how to inject musicality into my playing.
As it stands, I'm becoming very technically proficient with guitar, but I lack emotional awareness in my performances. I'm not feeling the songs I'm playing. To help promote ths, my teacher assigned me a very technically simple exercise titled Spanish Waltz. I've already memorized it, and now learning how best to communicate, through my guitar, what I feel when I play it.
